"Writing good bridge columns, particularly for daily newspapers, is a specialized talent. Words are at a premium; you must know your target audience; the bridge should be interesting; a lesson to be learned would be nice; and above all, a little humor goes a long way. Eddie Kantar had a bridge column for a while (a long, long time ago) in a couple of local newspapers. I even starred in one of his columns (He was obviously desparate for material). This is a collection of some of his finest.
Overall, I think this is as entertaining a bridge book as Eddie (or anyone else, for that matter) has ever produced. Besides supplying a lot of laughs, it sneaks in lots of lessons, big and small. You'll be happy you bought this one. It's an obvious A."

Eddie Kantar is a professional bridge player, writer, and teacher, and has been inducted into the Bridge Hall of Fame. He has been World Champion twice, and has won thirteen North American Championship titles.
